A Handsome Retro Mid Century Modern E Gomme G Plan Brandon Dressing Table Unit with Bureau Secretaire Desk in Blonde Oak and Sapele Mahogany, manufactured in the UK in 1950’s. The dressing table unit as seen in the V&A Museum is extremely rare and it has an internal light, compartments and mirrors. It is not able to be used independently of the two chest of drawers. Each of the chest of drawers has four drawers; one of which has fitted storage compartments in the top drawer and the other has a neat bureau secretaire with pigeon holes. Each of the pieces are fitted with the original oak handles and are stamped with the E Gomme G Plan gold stamp.

Please note the dressing unit/chest of drawer unit dismantles for transit therefore some assembly is required for this piece, however neither of the other pieces dismantle for transit therefore please check the dimensions with your access and turning points before purchasing as I am unable to accept a return for failed delivery.

Condition:

The unit has been been restored and is in very good clean vintage condition with minor signs of previous use and no major damage to note apart from some minor mark and scuffs. There is some light sunlight fading on one side of the chest of drawers where the dressing unit sits and there is a square cut out in the back of one of the drawers (probably for cables). There are some age related marks inside the dressing unit, and there is an ink stain inside the bureau desk, and there are some tiny tannin spots on the top of this unit, however I feel these add to the character of this handsome piece and are only visible under close scrutiny. I have cleaned, waxed and polished the sapele mahogany insides with care and the drawers are opening and closing with ease. For more detailed photographs please don't hesitate to contact me.
