1950’s Gentleman's Armoire/Compactum Wardrobe in Farrow & Ball Off Black
Description:
A stunning 1950's lockable armoire / gentleman's wardrobe / tallboy by Astons of Wrexham with beautiful carvings on either side of the door. It’s a lovely and light piece which is easy to transport upstairs. Inside there is a hanging rail and shelves and externally it has the original stunning brass handle and lock escutcheon which I have cleaned and polished by hand. This elegant cabinet is well proportioned and is in very good order, with the original lock and key working. It has been carefully sanded and painted in Farrow and Ball's timeless and dramatic 'Off Black' Modern Eggshell and would be a stylish storage addition to a bedroom or landing. Condition:
This piece is in excellent condition with no damage to note apart from the minor nicks, dents and previous repairs which are to be expected with vintage and antique pieces and adds to their character. I have cleaned it thoroughly inside and out and oiled the teak interior so it is very clean and tidy. I don't just slap on a coat of chalk paint on my pieces and call them upcycled - each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy process of restoration and preparation before being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, restored, woodworm treated if there is any sign of historic woodworm, primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of five coats to ensure a high quality finish, and a protective lacquer where required for durability. My pieces aren't distressed or shabby chic; they will naturally distress over time with general wear and tear, like all furniture.

I do accept returns under certain circumstances, however I do not accept returns if you decide on receipt of your item that the size isn't right or doesn't suit your space, or if the colour isn't as you expected.

Cancellations are subject to a cancellation charge of £50 to cover card merchant services and admin fees. If a courier has been booked and paid for the full cost of delivery charge will be paid by the customer (courier charges are 50% subsidised by Yellow Pigeon Bespoke Furniture):

I aim to provide a personal service as far as possible and I am pleased to offer free delivery with this piece in person via our own 'Pigeon Post' with a fully blanketed service to 100 mile radius of SY7 8QG postcode. Delivery is offered to ground floor and I shall be in touch directly after your purchase to arrange a suitable delivery date. If you are located outside of my 100 mile radius, I would be delighted to arrange delivery via a third party furniture courier with a fully blanketed service within Mainland UK for a small surcharge.
