Antique 1920s Luterma Reval Venesta Hat Box in Birch Plywood
Description:
An antique hat box in birch plywood by Luterma, an Estonian plywood furniture company, with original leather carrying handle and strap and Charing Cross to Dover Priory train label. Dating probably from the 1920's, it is stamped on the inside of the lid and on the base with Luterma Reval and Venesta. Perfect as storage for a special hat, it would also make an impressive and interesting coffee or side table with useful storage.
Condition:
In perfectly worn and used antique condition as expected and forming the charm and character of this very special item. Please see individual photos for details. Very clean interior. The original leather carrying handle remains intact, and I have had the original leather strap professionally repaired and re-attached by a leather goods specialist.
