Description:

An elegant antique bureau / writing desk on long carved legs, it benefits from three drawers and storage compartments along with two further drawers and a lockable cupboard inside the fall front desk. This beautiful desk is well proportioned and is in good order with brass handles which I have cleaned and polished by hand (not painted over or resprayed!) and the desk lock and key also still working. It has been carefully sanded and restored and has been painted in Farrow & Ball's timeless 'Off Black' Modern Eggshell and the drawers have been lined with an ebony damask paper. This piece would be a fabulous addition to a hallway, dining room, landing or indeed any contemporary room.

Condition:

This piece is in very good condition with no damage to note apart from the minor nicks, dents and previous repairs which are to be expected with vintage and antique pieces and adds to their character. I don't just slap on a coat of chalk paint on my pieces and call them upcycled - each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy process of restoration and preparation before being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, restored, woodworm treated if there is any sign of historic woodworm, primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 4 coats to ensure a high quality finish.

    Request a cancellation within: 2 days of purchase.  Cancellations are subject to a £25 charge to cover card merchant services and admin fees.

    Shipping:

    I aim to provide a personal service as far as possible and I am pleased to offer free delivery with this piece in person via our own 'Pigeon Post' with a fully blanketed service to 150 mile radius of SY7 8QG postcode.  I offer delivery to ground floor and I shall be in touch directly after your purchase to arrange a suitable delivery date. If you are located outside of my 150 mile radius, I would be delighted to arrange delivery via a third party furniture courier with a fully blanketed service to Mainland UK for a small surcharge.  To avoid disappointment please contact me with your post code for an indicative quote and timeframe if you are located outside of this radius.  Third party courier service is for a one man service to ground floor and assistance is required with unloading.
