Antique Painted Walnut Gin Cabinet / Drinks Cabinet in Farrow & Ball Hague Blue

A glorious antique carved solid walnut double fronted glass china / gin display cabinet standing on cabriole legs by Goodalls of Manchester. Dating probably from the late 1890's, this elegant cabinet has two lockable doors and two adjustable shelves and is in very good order with the original locks and key still working. The cabinet has been carefully sanded, restored and refinished in Farrow & Ball's deeply dark and dramatic greeny blue 'Hague Blue' Modern Eggshell and internally I have lined the back with a stunning opulent leafy Tropical Paradise velvet. This piece would be a fabulous addition to a hallway, dining room, landing or indeed any contemporary room as a display cabinet, china cabinet or drinks cabinet. The Goodalls label can be found on the bottom of the cabinet.

Condition:

This piece is in excellent condition with no damage to note apart from the minor nicks, dents and previous repairs which are to be expected with vintage and antique pieces and adds to their character. There are some scratches to the glass - if you would like to see detailed photos of this please contact me directly. The doors unlock easily with the original key and open and close with ease, and the glass has all been fully cleaned and polished.

In terms of the finish, I’m not a ‘furniture flipper’; I don’t churn out large quantities of quickly refinished pieces; I spend huge amounts of time and care and on each piece and pour parts of my soul into each item. I specialise in refinishing vintage and antique furniture and I spend hours hand picking each of my pieces locally and I don’t sell anything that I wouldn’t have in my own home. I don't just slap on a coat of chalk paint on my pieces and call them upcycled - each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy process of restoration and preparation before being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, restored, woodworm treated if there is any sign of historic woodworm, primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 4 coats of top coat.

    I do accept returns under certain circumstances, however I do not accept returns if you decide on receipt of your item that the size isn't right or doesn't suit your space, or if the colour isn't as you expected. To avoid disappointment please double check the dimensions and the colour / finish before making your purchase and please do get in touch should you require any further information or clarity.

    Cancellations are subject to a cancellation charge of £50 to cover card merchant services and admin fees. If a courier has been booked and paid for the full cost of delivery charge will be paid by the customer (courier charges are 50% subsidised by Yellow Pigeon Bespoke Furniture):

    Conditions of return

    Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs and arranging courier. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

    My third party courier delivers furniture throughout Mainland England & Wales for a flat fee of £59.

    Delivery to Mainland Scotland (excluding Highlands) is charged at a flat fee of £89.

    For deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, and other remote areas, please contact me for a quote.

    All deliveries are subject to a handling fee of £15
