Description:

A stunning lockable antique highly polished burr walnut fall front ladies bureau / writing desk on long carved legs and dating probably from the turn of the century. Beautifully fitted internally with storage compartments, cabinets and drawers, there is a further drawer beneath the desk. It is in lovely condition with solid brass handles which I have cleaned and polished by hand and the original lock and key still working well. I have carefully cleaned, oiled, waxed and polished the bureau and is now in superb condition. A fabulous addition to a hallway, home office, landing or indeed any room.

Condition:

A real beauty, this piece is in excellent condition with no major damage apart from some minors scuffs and marks which are to be expected with a piece of this age. The drawers and desk open and close with ease. I've thoroughly cleaned and polished the drawers and desk with beeswax polish and it is gleaming.     I do accept returns under certain circumstances, however I do not accept returns if you decide on receipt of your item that the size isn't right or doesn't suit your space, or if the colour isn't as you expected. To avoid disappointment please double check the dimensions and the colour / finish before making your purchase and please do get in touch should you require any further information or clarity.

    Cancellations are subject to a cancellation charge of £50 to cover card merchant services and admin fees. If a courier has been booked and paid for the full cost of delivery charge will be paid by the customer (courier charges are 50% subsidised by Yellow Pigeon Bespoke Furniture):

    Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

    Conditions of return

    Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs and arranging courier. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

  • SHIPPING INFO

    I aim to provide a personal service as far as possible and I am pleased to offer free delivery with this piece in person via our own 'Pigeon Post' with a fully bubble wrapped and blanketed service to 100 mile radius of SY7 8QG postcode.  Delivery is to ground floor and I shall be in touch directly after your purchase to arrange a suitable delivery date. If you are located outside of my 100 mile radius, I would be delighted to arrange delivery via a third party furniture courier with a fully bubble wrapped and blanketed service within Mainland UK for a small surcharge. To avoid disappointment please contact me with your post code for an indicative quote and timeframe if you are located outside of this radius.  Third party courier service is for a one man service to ground floor and assistance is required with unloading.  Alternatively I live in Shropshire and collection can be arranged if preferred.
