Antique Victorian Painted Kneehole Writing Desk in Farrow & Ball Railings
Description:
With bags of character, this is a Victorian hand made mahogany kneehole writing desk on turned legs, probably dating to 1850's. It has two long drawers with a further two smaller drawers below, each with the original brass handles which I've cleaned and polished by hand.
I've also lined the drawers with an ebony damask paper and I've carefully sanded and restored the desk and refinished it in Farrow & Ball's dark and handsome 'Railings' Modern Eggshell. This piece would be a fabulous addition to a home office, hallway, dining room, landing or indeed any contemporary room.
Condition:
This piece is in good condition with no damage to note apart from the minor nicks, dents and cracks which are to be expected with vintage and antique pieces and adds to their character. I’m not a ‘furniture flipper’; I don’t turnover large quantities of quickly refinished pieces; I spend huge amounts of time and care and on each piece and pour parts of my soul into each item. I specialise in refinishing vintage and antique furniture and I spend hours hand picking each of my pieces locally and I don’t sell anything that I wouldn’t have in my own home. I don't just slap on a coat of chalk or mineral paint on my pieces and call them upcycled - each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy process of restoration and preparation before being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, restored, woodworm treated if there is any sign of historic woodworm, primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 4 coats to ensure a high quality finish.

I gladly accept returns and cancellations: I do accept returns under certain circumstances, however I do not accept returns if you decide on receipt of your item that the size isn't right or doesn't suit your space, or if the colour isn't as you expected. To avoid disappointment please double check the dimensions and the colour / finish before making your purchase and please do get in touch should you require any further information or clarity.
Cancellations are subject to a cancellation charge of £50 to cover card merchant services and admin fees. If a courier has been booked and paid for the full cost of delivery charge will be paid by the customer (courier charges are 50% subsidised by Yellow Pigeon Bespoke Furniture):

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

I aim to provide a personal service as far as possible and I am pleased to offer free delivery with this piece in person via our own 'Pigeon Post' with a fully blanketed service to 100 mile radius of SY7 8QG postcode. I offer delivery to ground floor / doorstep depending upon your COVID Tier and I shall be in touch directly after your purchase to arrange a suitable delivery date. If you are located outside of my 100 mile radius, I would be delighted to arrange delivery via a third party furniture courier with a fully blanketed service to Mainland UK for a small surcharge. To avoid disappointment please contact me with your post code for an indicative quote and timeframe if you are located outside of this radius.
