Art Deco Painted Bow Fronted Gin Cabinet in Farrow and Ball Downpipe

Description:

A beautiful vintage bow fronted Art Deco glass china / display cabinet standing on cabriole legs, by H Herqual & Co. It benefits from two glass shelves internally and a single glazed and etched lockable door. This elegant cabinet is well proportioned and is in very good order with the original lock and key still working. It has been carefully sanded, restored and
painted externally in Farrow and Ball's dark and dramatic blue grey 'Down Pipe' Modern Eggshell; internally the base has also been painted to match and the back has been lined with a stunning dusty pink art deco 'Gatsby' paper. This piece would be a fabulous addition to a hallway, dining room, landing or indeed any contemporary room as a display cabinet, china cabinet or drinks cabinet.

Condition:

This piece is in very good condition with no damage to note apart from the minor nicks, dents and previous repairs which are to be expected with vintage and antique pieces and adds to their character. One of the shelves has some minor chips on the front from where items have been placed in and out of the cabinet in the past. Please request details photos of this if required.

I’m not a ‘furniture flipper’; I don’t churn out large quantities of quickly refinished pieces; I spend huge amounts of time and care and on each piece and pour parts of my soul into each item. I specialise in refinishing vintage and antique furniture and I spend hours hand picking each of my pieces locally and I don’t sell anything that I wouldn’t have in my own home. I don't just slap on a coat of chalk paint on my pieces and call them upcycled - each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy process of restoration and preparation before being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, restored, woodworm treated if there is any sign of historic woodworm, primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 4 coats to ensure a high quality finish.

    I do accept returns under certain circumstances, however I do not accept returns if you decide on receipt of your item that the size isn't right or doesn't suit your space, or if the colour isn't as you expected. To avoid disappointment please double check the dimensions and the colour / finish before making your purchase and please do get in touch should you require any further information or clarity.

    Cancellations are subject to a cancellation charge of £50 to cover card merchant services and admin fees. If a courier has been booked and paid for the full cost of delivery charge will be paid by the customer (courier charges are 50% subsidised by Yellow Pigeon Bespoke Furniture):

    Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

    Conditions of return

    Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs and arranging courier. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

    Shipping:

    I aim to provide a personal service as far as possible and I am pleased to offer free delivery with this piece in person via our own 'Pigeon Post' with a fully bubble wrapped and blanketed service to 100 mile radius of SY7 8QG postcode.  Delivery is to ground floor and I shall be in touch directly after your purchase to arrange a suitable delivery date. If you are located outside of my 100 mile radius, I would be delighted to assist with arranging delivery via a third party furniture courier with a fully bubble wrapped and blanketed service within Mainland UK for a small surcharge.  To avoid disappointment please contact me with your post code for an indicative quote and timeframe.
