Art Deco Style Stag A Range Dressing Table and Gentleman's Wardrobe Bedroom Set

A stunning rare Mid Century Art Deco Style Stag 'A' Range bow fronted dressing table with tilting mirror (Stag catalogue number A.9) and matching lockable Gentleman's Wardrobe (Stag catalogue number A.4.) Stag’s ‘A’ Range was designed and manufactured in the 1950’s and drew influences from 1930’s Art Deco style. The drawers and doors are fitted with the stunning original brass drawer pull handles which I have cleaned and lovingly polished by hand (not painted over or spray painted!). The tilting mirror can be used as intended with the mirror or if preferred, the mirror could be easily removed. The mirror will be detached for transit purposes. The wardrobe is lockable with one brand new lock and key which I've fitted on the left hand door and the original lock and key on the right hand door. Inside the left cupboard is a hanging rail and in the right a number of shelves. Both pieces have been carefully sanded, prepared and beautifully painted in Farrow & Ball's dark and dramatic 'Down Pipe' Modern Eggshell which is a dark lead grey, with definite blue undertones and on this set it looks stunning. Originally inspired by the colour used to paint downpipes and guttering, it has been embraced for use inside the home with fanatical zeal! A stunning set for any contemporary bedroom.
 
Condition:
 
This piece is in good condition and there is no major damage to note apart from the customary minor knocks, dents and cracks which are to be expected with antique and vintage pieces. There is some minor veneer damage to the top of the dressing table and of course the mirror, also being vintage and original isn't flawless and has some signs of foxing, however in my opinion adds to the character of this beautifully preserved set. The wardrobe is in a lovely clean condition having been fully cleaned and oiled inside and some modifications have been made to the original shelves over time.
