Art Nouveau Painted Carved Sideboard / Chiffonier in Farrow and Ball Off Black
Description:
A beautiful solid and heavy oak antique Art Nouveau sideboard / chiffonier dating from the early 1900's. With beautiful hand carvings adorning the doors and the original brass handles and lock and key still working, it benefits from two curved drawers and shelves inside the cabinet. Externally I have carefully prepared, restored and lovingly painted the cabinet in Farrow and Ball's dark and dramatic Off Black' Modern Eggshell, and internally I have lined the drawers and shelves with a beautiful ebony paper. Farrow and Ball Modern Eggshell is a satin sheen, not a matt or chalky finish. This piece with its Art Nouveau features would be an absolutely stunning focal point in a dark, dramatic dining room or drawing room.
Condition:
The sideboard is in very good condition for its age and there is no damage to note apart from the customary minor knocks, dents and cracks which are to be expected with antique and vintage pieces. I don't just slap on a bit of chalk paint and call it upcycled - each of my pieces are undergo a lengthy process of preparation, and restoration being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, woodworm treated if there are any signs of historic woodworm, and primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 3/4 coats to ensure a high quality finish. I don't distress my pieces, they will naturally distress over time with general wear and tear, like all furniture.

Request a cancellation within: 2 days of purchase. Cancellations are subject to a £25 charge to cover card merchant services and admin fees. If a courier has already been booked and paid for, the buyer is responsible for the total courier charge (Yellow Pigeon Bespoke Furniture contributes 50% towards the total cost)

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

We aim to provide a personal service as far as possible and we are pleased to offer free delivery with this piece in person via our own 'Pigeon Post' with a fully blanketed service to 100 mile radius of SY7 8QG postcode. We offer delivery to ground floor only and we shall be in touch directly after your purchase to arrange a suitable delivery date. If you are located outside of our 100 mile radius, we would be delighted to arrange delivery within Mainland UK via a third party courier for a small surcharge. To avoid disappointment please contact me with your post code for an indicative quote and timeframe. Third party service is for a one man service to ground floor only and assistance is required with unloading. I live in Shropshire and collection can be arranged if preferred.
