Vintage Painted Black Burr Walnut Cocktail Cabinet on Carved Queen Anne Legs

Don't wait for cocktail o'clock! This is a beautiful carved walnut vintage cocktail cabinet from the 1930's with recessed glass top. It benefits from a double cabinet with the original brass key escutcheon and key, and lock still working. It is mirrored internally and is automatically illuminated via a switch when the door is opened. It has has various shelves and a drawer for storing drinks, glasses and sundries, and also has the original cocktail spikes. Externally the cabinet is framed with beautiful hand carvings and it stands on stunning carved long Queen Anne legs. This very glamorous and elegant cabinet has been carefully stripped, cleaned and prepared before being primed and hand painted in Farrow & Ball's 'Off Black' Modern Eggshell. The burr walnut on the doors was so stunning when I stripped it that I decided to retain rather than paint over, and is finished with a clear satin varnish. This piece would be a fabulous feature in a dark, dramatic dining room, drawing room or any contemporary room and perfect for entertaining.

Condition:

This piece is in excellent condition and there is no notable damage, save for minor dents, knocks and imperfections which are to be expected with vintage and antique pieces. I don't just slap on a coat of chalk paint and call my pieces upcycled; each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy process of restoration and preparation before being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, woodworm treated if required, and primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 4 coats to ensure a high quality finish.
