Beautiful Jacobean Carved Solid Oak Bureau / Fall Front Writing Desk

A stunning antique solid and extraordinarily heavy carved oak lockable fall front bureau / writing desk on bracket feet dating probably from the late 17th / early 18th Century. Fully fitted internally with pigeon holes and small drawers, there are desk supports which pull out underneath the desk. There are four further drawers beneath the desk, each with the beautiful brass handles. The desk and brass hardware has been completely renovated and I have carefully cleaned and polished the bureau and it is in super condition. A fabulous addition to a study, hallway, home office, landing or indeed any room.
 
Condition:
 
A real beauty, this piece is in excellent refurbished antique condition with no major damage to note apart from some minors scuffs and marks per below which are to be expected with a piece of this age. The desk has been refitted with a brand new leather writing pad and the drawers and desk open and close with ease. I've thoroughly cleaned and polished the drawers and desk with beeswax polish and it is gleaming. If you'd like to see more detailed photos of anything, please don't hesitate to contact me.     I do accept returns under certain circumstances, however I do not accept returns if you decide on receipt of your item that the size isn't right or doesn't suit your space, or if the colour isn't as you expected. To avoid disappointment please double check the dimensions and the colour / finish before making your purchase and please do get in touch should you require any further information or clarity.

    Cancellations are subject to a cancellation charge of £50 to cover card merchant services and admin fees. If a courier has been booked and paid for the full cost of delivery charge will be paid by the customer (courier charges are 50% subsidised by Yellow Pigeon Bespoke Furniture):

    Conditions of return

    Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs and arranging courier. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

    My third party courier delivers furniture throughout Mainland England & Wales for a flat fee of £59.

    Delivery to Mainland Scotland (excluding Highlands) is charged at a flat fee of £89.

    For deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, and other remote areas, please contact me for a quote.

    All deliveries are subject to a handling fee of £15
