Mid Century Painted Chest of Drawers by Lebus in Farrow & Ball Sulking Room Pink

Description:

A stunning two drawer Mid Century chest of drawers by Lebus dating from 1960's. It has a nice simple style, with a few subtle flourishes such as the carved detail at the top showing a Scandinavian influence. The drawers are fitted with the stunning original brass drawer pull handles which I have cleaned and lovingly polished by hand (not painted over or spray painted!), with the top drawer having the brass Lebus button inside. The chest of drawers has been carefully sanded, prepared and beautifully hand painted in Farrow & Ball's ever popular romantic and muted ‘Sulking Room Pink' Modern Eggshell and on this piece looks stunning. Sulking Room Pink is a muted rose pink with a powdery feel which makes it incredibly soft and easy to use with complementary tones. It would be a fabulous statement piece for any contemporary boudoir.

Condition:

This piece is in excellent condition and there is no damage to note apart from the customary minor knocks, dents and cracks which are to be expected with antique and vintage pieces.  The drawers open and close with ease and I have waxed the runners. I don't just slap on a coat of chalk or mineral paint on my pieces and call them upcycled - each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy restoration and preparation process before being stripped, cleaned, woodworm treated if required, and primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 4 coats to ensure a high quality finish.     I do accept returns under certain circumstances, however I do not accept returns if you decide on receipt of your item that the size isn't right or doesn't suit your space, or if the colour isn't as you expected. To avoid disappointment please double check the dimensions and the colour / finish before making your purchase and please do get in touch should you require any further information or clarity.

    Cancellations are subject to a cancellation charge of £50 to cover card merchant services and admin fees. If a courier has been booked and paid for the full cost of delivery charge will be paid by the customer (courier charges are 50% subsidised by Yellow Pigeon Bespoke Furniture):

    Conditions of return

    Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

  • SHIPPING INFO

    I aim to provide a personal service as far as possible and I am pleased to offer free delivery with this piece in person via our own 'Pigeon Post' with a fully bubble wrapped and blanketed service to 100 mile radius of SY7 8QG postcode.  Delivery is to ground floor and I shall be in touch directly after your purchase to arrange a suitable delivery date. If you are located outside of my 100 mile radius, I would be delighted to arrange delivery via a third party furniture courier with a fully bubble wrapped and blanketed service within Mainland UK for a small surcharge. To avoid disappointment please contact me with your post code for an indicative quote and timeframe if you are located outside of this radius.  Third party courier service is usually for a two man service where possible to ground floor.  Alternatively I live in Shropshire and collection can be arranged if preferred.
