Painted 1940's Mid Century CC41 Lebus Wardrobe; Farrow and Ball Off Black

A stunning CC41* Wardrobe Harris Lebus dating from the 1940's with with beautiful carvings on the door and the stunning original brass handle which I have cleaned and polished by hand. Inside there are two hanging rails which makes it spacious. It is a lovely and light piece which makes it easy to transport to a bedroom upstairs if required. 
The 'Two Cheeses' Utility Furniture Stamp which dates post war furniture can be found on the reverse of the bedside, along with the original Harris Lebus stamp. The cabinet has been carefully restored, prepared and beautifully professionally painted in Farrow & Ball's dark and dramatic 'Off Black' Modern Eggshell and on this piece looks stunning.
*CC41 was the Utility Fashion and Furniture brand for strong well-designed furniture manufactured in the UK during the period 1941-1951 post World War II following a furniture shortage due to bombing, and pieces from this period are considered collectables.

Condition:
This piece is in excellent condition with no damage to note apart from the minor nicks, dents and previous repairs which are to be expected with vintage and antique pieces and adds to their character. The door is a little stiff to lock, however it opens and closes with ease.  I don't just slap on a coat of chalk paint on my pieces and call them upcycled - each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy process of restoration and preparation before being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, restored, woodworm treated if there is any sign of historic woodworm, primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of four coats of genuine Farrow & Ball Eggshell to ensure a high quality finish, and a lacquer where required for durability. My pieces aren't distressed or shabby chic; they will naturally distress over time with general wear and tear, like all furniture.I wrap each of my pieces with care for transit with eco friendly recyclable packaging.
