Handsome Painted 1960's Gentleman's Armoire/Wardrobe in Farrow & Ball Off Black
A stunning 1960's Gentleman's armoire / wardrobe / tallboy with a shelf above a hanging rail and super twin shoe rails beneath. The door has the original stunning brass handle which I have cleaned and polished by hand. This elegant cabinet is well proportioned and is in very good order, with lock and key working. It has been carefully sanded, restored and hand painted externally in Farrow and Ball's timeless and dramatic 'Off Black' Modern Eggshell. This piece would be a fabulous storage addition to a bedroom or landing.
Condition:
This piece is in excellent condition with no damage to note apart from the minor nicks, dents and previous repairs which are to be expected with vintage and antique pieces and adds to their character. Inside there are some marks to the base which can be seen in the photographs. I don't just slap on a coat of chalk paint on my pieces and call them upcycled - each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy process of restoration and preparation before being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, restored, woodworm treated if there is any sign of historic woodworm, primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 4 coats to ensure a high quality finish. My pieces aren't distressed or shabby chic; they will naturally distress over time with general wear and tear, like all furniture. Check out my 5 star reviews on Etsy and Vinterior since 2016.
