Description:
A real stunner - this handsome vintage mid century armoire / wardrobe / tallboy with double doors with carvings made by the renowned Harris Lebus and dating from the 1950’s. It’s a lovely and light piece for its size which makes it easy to transport upstairs. Inside there are four curved shelves, a hanging rail and a mirror and the doors are lockable with the original lock and key in good working order. The wardrobe has been carefully sanded, restored and painted externally in Farrow and Ball's timeless and dramatic 'Off Black' Modern Eggshell and it would be a fabulous storage addition to a bedroom or landing.
Condition:
This piece is in very good clean condition with no damage to note apart from the minor nicks, dents and previous repairs which are to be expected with vintage and antique pieces and adds to their character. There are a couple of marks on the shelves, but I have throughly cleaned and reoiled the wardrobe inside with teak oil. I’m not a ‘furniture flipper’; I don’t turnover large quantities of quickly refinished pieces; I spend huge amounts of time and care and on each piece and pour parts of my soul into each item. I specialise in refinishing vintage and antique furniture and I spend hours hand picking each of my pieces locally and I don’t sell anything that I wouldn’t have in my own home. I don't just slap on a coat of chalk paint on our pieces and call them upcycled - each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy process of restoration and preparation before being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, restored, woodworm treated if there is any sign of historic woodworm, primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 4 coats to ensure a high quality finish.

I do accept returns under certain circumstances, however I do not accept returns if you decide on receipt of your item that the size isn't right or doesn't suit your space, or if the colour isn't as you expected.
To avoid disappointment please double check the dimensions and the colour / finish before making your purchase and please do get in touch should you require any further information or clarity.
Cancellations are subject to a cancellation charge of £50 to cover card merchant services and admin fees. If a courier has been booked and paid for the full cost of delivery charge will be paid by the customer (courier charges are 50% subsidised by Yellow Pigeon Bespoke Furniture):

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

I aim to provide a personal service as far as possible and I am pleased to offer free delivery with this piece in person via our own 'Pigeon Post' with a fully blanketed service to 100 mile radius of SY7 8QG postcode. Delivery is offered to ground floor and I shall be in touch directly after your purchase to arrange a suitable delivery date. If you are located outside of my 100 mile radius, I would be delighted to arrange delivery via a third party furniture courier with a fully blanketed service within Mainland UK for a small surcharge. To avoid disappointment please contact me with your post code for an indicative quote and timeframe.
