Description:

A stunning rare Mid Century Art Deco Style Stag 'A' Range five drawer chest (Stag catalogue number A.6). Stag’s ‘A’ Range was designed in the 1950’s and drew influences from 1930’s Art Deco style. The drawers are fitted with the stunning original brass drawer pull handles which I have cleaned and lovingly polished by hand (not painted over or spray painted!). It has been carefully sanded, prepared and beautifully painted in Farrow & Ball's dark and dramatic 'Down Pipe' Modern Eggshell which is a dark lead grey, with definite blue undertones and on this set it looks stunning. Originally inspired by the colour used to paint downpipes and guttering, it has been embraced for use inside the home with fanatical zeal! A stunning set for any contemporary bedroom.

Condition:

This set is in very good condition and there is no major damage to note apart from the customary minor knocks, dents and cracks which are to be expected with antique and vintage pieces.

I’m not a ‘furniture flipper’; I don’t churn out large quantities of quickly refinished pieces; I spend huge amounts of time and care on each piece and pour parts of my soul into each item. I specialise in refinishing vintage and antique furniture and I spend hours hand picking each of my pieces locally and I don’t sell anything that I wouldn’t have in my own home. I don't just slap on a coat of chalk or mineral paint on my pieces and call them upcycled - each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy restoration and preparation process before being stripped, cleaned, woodworm treated if required, and primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 4 coats to ensure a high quality finish.

    I do accept returns under certain circumstances, however I do not accept returns if you decide on receipt of your item that the size isn't right or doesn't suit your space, or if the colour isn't as you expected. To avoid disappointment please double check the dimensions and the colour / finish before making your purchase and please do get in touch should you require any further information or clarity.

    Cancellations are subject to a cancellation charge of £50 to cover card merchant services and admin fees. If a courier has been booked and paid for the full cost of delivery charge will be paid by the customer (courier charges are 50% subsidised by Yellow Pigeon Bespoke Furniture):

    Conditions of return

    Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs and arranging courier. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

  • SHIPPING INFO

    I aim to provide a personal service as far as possible and I am pleased to offer free delivery with this piece in person via our own 'Pigeon Post' with a fully bubble wrapped and blanketed service to 100 mile radius of SY7 8QG postcode.  Delivery is to ground floor and I shall be in touch directly after your purchase to arrange a suitable delivery date. If you are located outside of my 100 mile radius, I would be delighted to arrange delivery via a third party furniture courier with a fully bubble wrapped and blanketed service within Mainland UK for a small surcharge. To avoid disappointment please contact me with your post code for an indicative quote and timeframe if you are located outside of this radius.  Third party courier service is for a one man service to ground floor and assistance is required with unloading.  Alternatively I live in Shropshire and collection can be arranged if preferred.
