Mid Century Painted Double Pedestal Teacher's Desk in Farrow and Ball Downpipe
Description:
A handsome mid century industrial style solid oak topped double pedestal desk / teacher's desk with four drawers; one of which is lockable. This stunning desk is well proportioned and houses the original handles which have been stripped, cleaned and given a light varnish. The desk has been carefully sanded, restored and cleaned and has been hand painted externally in Farrow & Ball's timeless and daringly dark 'Downpipe' Estate Eggshell, with the desktop given a light oil to reveal the beautiful oak. This piece would be a fabulous addition to a study, hallway, dining room, landing or indeed any contemporary room.
Condition:
This piece is in very good condition; I've restored the oak desktop and there is no damage to note apart from some faint marks on the top, and light damage to the right hand front of the desk top. Please see photos or contact me for detailed photos. There are few minor dents and imperfections and some markings inside the drawers which are to be expected with the age of this vintage piece and really add to its character. I have fitted a brand new lock with key to the top drawer and it is in perfect locking order.
I don't just slap on a coat of chalk paint on my pieces and call them upcycled - each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy process of restoration and preparation before being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, restored, woodworm treated if there is any sign of historic woodworm, primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 4 coats to ensure a high quality finish. My pieces aren't distressed or shabby chic - they will distress naturally over time with general wear and tear.

I do accept returns under certain circumstances, however I do not accept returns if you decide on receipt of your item that the size isn't right or doesn't suit your space, or if the colour isn't as you expected. To avoid disappointment please double check the dimensions and the colour / finish before making your purchase and please do get in touch should you require any further information or clarity.
Cancellations are subject to a cancellation charge of £50 to cover card merchant services and admin fees. If a courier has been booked and paid for the full cost of delivery charge will be paid by the customer (courier charges are 50% subsidised by Yellow Pigeon Bespoke Furniture):

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs and arranging courier. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

I aim to provide a personal service as far as possible and I am pleased to offer free delivery with this piece in person via our own 'Pigeon Post' with a fully blanketed service to 150 mile radius of SY7 8QG postcode. I offer delivery to ground floor only and I shall be in touch directly after your purchase to arrange a suitable delivery date. If you are located outside of my 150 mile radius, I would be delighted to arrange delivery via a third party furniture courier with a fully blanketed service to Mainland UK for a small surcharge. To avoid disappointment please contact me with your postcode or an indicative timeframe and quote. Third party courier service is for a one man service to ground floor only and assistance is required for unloading.
