Mid Century Pedestal Teacher's Desk by Abbess in Farrow and Ball Hague Blue
A handsome mid century industrial style oak veneered pedestal desk / teacher's desk by the ever popular Abbess with three drawers. It comes complete with the Abbess key and stationery tray and has adjustable levelling feet to adjust the height or level the desk as required. This stunning desk is well proportioned and houses the original handles which together with the drawers and desktop have been stripped, cleaned and given a light lacquer. The desk frame and beech legs have also been carefully sanded and painted in Farrow & Ball's timeless greeny blue 'Hague Blue' Eggshell. This piece would be a fabulous addition to a study, hallway, dining room, landing or indeed any contemporary room. The Abbess logo can be found on the stationery tray and in the top drawer.
The desk does not disassemble so please measure all door widths and access points (e.g. stairs, hallways, turning points) before purchasing.
Condition:
This piece is in very good condition with no damage to note apart from some rings, marks and veneer damage on the desktop which can be seen in the photos. There are also some age related marks inside the drawers as to be expected with the age of this piece and they really add to its character.
I don't just slap on a coat of chalk paint on my pieces and call them upcycled - each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy process of restoration and preparation before being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, restored, woodworm treated if there is any sign of historic woodworm, primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 4 coats of genuine Farrow & Ball eggshell to ensure a high quality finish. My pieces aren't distressed or shabby chic - they will distress naturally over time with general wear and tear.

I do accept returns under certain circumstances, however I do not accept returns if you decide on receipt of your item that the size isn't right or doesn't suit your space, or if the colour isn't as you expected. To avoid disappointment please double check the dimensions and the colour / finish before making your purchase and please do get in touch should you require any further information or clarity.
Cancellations are subject to a cancellation charge of £50 to cover card merchant services and admin fees. If a courier has been booked and paid for the full cost of delivery charge will be paid by the customer (courier charges are 50% subsidised by Yellow Pigeon Bespoke Furniture):

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs and arranging courier. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
