Painted 1930's Art Deco Gentleman's Wardrobe in Farrow and Ball Off Black

A stunning antique vintage painted oak Gentleman's compactum wardrobe dating probably from the 1930's with lock and key, original oak handles and carvings on the top corners. Inside it has three shelves to the right of a hanging rail and shoe rail, along with a rod tidy tie rack on the door. I have carefully sanded, restored and professionally painted the cabinet in Farrow and Ball's dark and dramatic ‘Off Black' Modern Eggshell. Off Black is a soft black and is more flattering to adjacent colours than strong blacks. This piece would be a fabulous one-off statement piece for a bedroom or landing for additional storage.
Condition:
This piece is in excellent condition with no damage to note apart from the minor nicks, dents and previous repairs which are to be expected with vintage and antique pieces and adds to their character. The lock and key are original and still working and the doors open and close with ease and it is a clean and tidy piece. In terms of the finish I don't just slap on a coat of chalk paint on my pieces and call them upcycled - each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy process of restoration and preparation before being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, restored, woodworm treated if there is any sign of historic woodworm, primed and undercoated before professionally painting a minimum of 4 coats of genuine Farrow and Ball Eggshell to ensure a high quality finish.
