Painted Mid Century Bedroom Set in Farrow and Ball Off Black

A stunning 1940's CC41* Bedside by Harris Lebus, a Mid Century 1960's Oak Veneered Chest of Drawers by Beeanese with a 1960's Gentleman's armoire / wardrobe / tallboy by Austinsuite to make a bedroom set. The wardrobe by Austinsuite has three shelves to the right of a wooden hanging rail and the door has the original stunning brass door handle and lock escutcheon which I have cleaned and polished by hand. This elegant cabinet is well proportioned and is in very good order, with original lock and key working. The Austinsuite badge can be found inside the door. The four drawer chest of drawers by Beeanese (Bluestone & Elvin) is date stamped on the reverse June 1961 and it has a nice simple style showing a Scandinavian influence with the beautiful unmistakable Beeanese carving above the top drawer. The drawers are fitted with the fabulous original brass drawer pull handles which I have cleaned and polished by hand and are gleaming. The bedside cabinet by Harris Lebus dates from the 1940's and is a CC41 piece, complete with door and shelf for storage. 'Two Cheeses' Utility Furniture Stamp which dates post war furniture can be found on the reverse of the bedside, along with the original Harris Lebus stamp. Each of the three pieces have been carefully sanded, restored where required and professionally painted in Farrow and Ball's timeless and dramatic 'Off Black' Modern Eggshell and they would be stylish one off storage additions to a bedroom or landing.Each of the pieces pictured are listed for sale separately; please see my other listings if this is of interest.*CC41 was the Utility Fashion and Furniture brand for strong well-designed furniture manufactured in the UK during the period 1941-1951 post World War II following a furniture shortage due to bombing, and pieces from this period are considered collectables.Condition:The set is in very good condition and there is no major damage to note apart from the customary age related minor knocks, dents and cracks which are to be expected with antique and vintage pieces.
