Painted Lockable 1940's Gentleman's Wardrobe in Farrow and Ball Off Black

A stunning lockable oak veneered wardrobe dating from the 1940's with original tudor rose brass handle which I have cleaned and polished by hand. Inside there is a mirror with tie rail, hanging rail and shelf above. It is a lovely and light piece which makes it easy to transport to a bedroom upstairs if required. The wardrobe has been carefully restored, prepared and beautifully professionally painted in Farrow & Ball's dark and dramatic 'Off Black' Modern Eggshell and on this piece looks stunning.

Condition:

This piece is in very good condition with no damage to note apart from there is some foxing to the mirror along with minor nicks, dents and previous repairs which are to be expected with vintage and antique pieces and adds to their character. It is usual for vintage and antique pieces to sometimes have a slight fusty smell which is to be expected with age.

I don't just slap on a coat of chalk paint on my pieces and call them upcycled - each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy process of restoration and preparation before being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, restored, woodworm treated if there is any sign of historic woodworm, primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of four coats of genuine Farrow & Ball Eggshell to ensure a high quality finish, and a lacquer where required for durability. My pieces aren't distressed or shabby chic; they will naturally distress over time with general wear and tear, like all furniture.
