Painted Mid Century Chest of Drawers by CWS Cabinet Factory Ltd: Farrow and Ball
A stunning mid century oak veneered five drawer chest of drawers by CWS Cabinet Factory, Birmingham dating probably from the 1960’s. It has a nice simple style showing a Scandinavian influence with the curved front corners. The drawers are fitted with the fabulous original brass drawer pull handles made in England which I have cleaned and polished by hand and are gleaming. The chest has been carefully restored, prepared and beautifully professionally painted in Farrow & Ball's dark and dramatic 'Off Black' Modern Eggshell and on this piece looks stunning.

Condition:
This piece is in excellent condition and there is no major damage to note apart from the customary minor knocks, dents and cracks which are to be expected with antique and vintage pieces. The drawers are very clean and tidy and they open and close with ease. I'm not a 'furniture flipper'; I don't churn out masses of quickly refinished items and I don't just slap on a coat of chalk or mineral paint on my pieces and call them upcycled - I spend huge amounts of time and care on each piece. Each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy restoration and preparation process before being stripped, cleaned, woodworm treated if required, and primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 4 coats of genuine Farrow and Ball Modern Eggshell to ensure a high quality finish. My pieces aren't distressed or shabby chic; they will naturally distress over time with general wear and tear, like all furniture.
I wrap each of my pieces with care for transit with eco friendly recyclable packaging.

I do accept returns under certain circumstances, however I do not accept returns if you decide on receipt of your item that the size isn't right or doesn't suit your space, or if the colour isn't as you expected. Cancellations are subject to a cancellation charge of £50 to cover card merchant services and admin fees. If a courier has been booked and paid for the full cost of delivery charge will be paid by the customer (courier charges are 50% subsidised by Yellow Pigeon Bespoke Furniture):

Vintage and antique furniture rarely dismantle for delivery and it is the responsibility of the customer to check the dimensions against their access points in advance of purchase. In the event that the buyer has measured incorrectly and a failed delivery occurs the full cost of third party courier charge will be paid by the customer along with the following charges:

Card merchant service refund and admin fee £50
Delivery handling fee (for packaging) £15
Damages to item if not returned in the same condition
For upholstered items it is the customers responsibility to request fabric samples.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
- Custom or personalised orders
- Perishable products (like food or flowers)
- Digital downloads
- Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
- Items on sale
Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs and arranging courier. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
SHIPPING INFO
My third party courier delivers furniture throughout Mainland England & Wales for a flat fee of £59.
Delivery to Mainland Scotland (excluding Highlands) is charged at a flat fee of £89.
For deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, and other remote areas, please contact me for a quote.
All deliveries are subject to a handling fee of £15
