Vintage Antique Georgian Regency Painted Serpentine Fronted Sideboard/Dressei

This is a beautiful vintage mahogany Georgian Regency style serpertine fronted sideboard with ornate upstand. It has three drawers including cutlery drawer and two cupboards with shelves. The shelf in the right hand cupboard is a half size shelf and can be slid forwards or backwards along the runners to accommodate bottles and tallers items if required. The sideboard has the original brass handles which I have cleaned and polished by hand (not painted over or spray painted!). Externally it has been carefully prepared and restored and lovingly painted in Farrow and Ball's dark and sophisticated 'Off Black' Modern Eggshell, and internally I have lined the drawers with a beautiful damask paper. The cutlery drawer is felted in the original green woollen felt. Farrow and Ball Off Black is very flattering to adjacent colours and is much softer than traditional black. This piece would be a stunning focal point in a dark, dramatic dining room or drawing room.

Condition:

The sideboard is in excellent condition for its age and there is no damage to note apart from the customary minor knocks, dents and cracks which are to be expected with antique and vintage pieces. I don't just slap on a bit of chalk paint and call it upcycled - each of my pieces undergo a lengthy process of preparation, and restoration being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, woodworm treated if there are any signs of historic woodworm, and primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 4 coats to ensure a high quality finish. I don't distress our pieces, they will naturally distress over time with general wear and tear, like all furniture.

    Ship items back within: 30 days of delivery

    Request a cancellation within: 2 days of purchase.  Cancellations are subject to a £25 charge to cover card merchant services and admin fees.  If a courier has already been booked and paid for, the buyer is responsible for the total courier charge (Yellow Pigeon Bespoke Furniture subsides towards the total cost)

    Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

    I aim to provide a personal service as far as possible and I am pleased to offer free delivery with this piece in person via our own 'Pigeon Post' with a fully bubble wrapped and blanketed service to 100 mile radius of SY7 8QG postcode. I offer delivery to ground floor and I shall be in touch directly after your purchase to arrange a suitable delivery date.  If you are located outside of my 100 mile radius, I would be delighted to arrange delivery within Mainland UK via a third party courier for a small surcharge.  To avoid disappointment please contact me with your post code for an indicative quote and timeframe.  Third party service is for a one man service to ground floor and assistance is required with unloading.  I live in Shropshire and collection can be arranged if preferred.
