Vintage Black Painted Bureau/Writing Desk on Cabriole Legs in Farrow and Ball

Description:

An elegant bureau / writing desk on long cabriole legs with two drawers together with storage compartments inside the desk along with a further small drawer. The desk supports open automatically when the writing slope is opened. This elegant desk is well proportioned and is in very good order with the original handles which I have cleaned and polished by hand together with the original drawer and slope locks and key still working. It has been carefully sanded and restored and has been hand painted externally in Farrow & Ball's timeless 'Off Black' Modern Eggshell and I have lined the drawers with a beautiful ebony damask paper. This piece would be a fabulous addition to a hallway, dining room, landing or indeed any contemporary room.

Condition:

This piece is in very good condition with no damage to note apart from the minor nicks, dents and previous repairs which are to be expected with vintage and antique pieces and adds to their character. I don't just slap on a coat of chalk paint on my pieces and call them upcycled - each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy process of restoration and preparation before being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, restored, woodworm treated if there is any sign of historic woodworm, primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 3/4 coats to ensure a high quality finish.

    Ship items back within: 30 days of delivery

    Request a cancellation within: 2 days of purchase.  Cancellations are subject to a £25 charge to cover card merchant services and admin fees.  If a courier has been booked and paid for the buyer is subject to payment of full shipping fees (buyers are charged only half of the full shipping fees at the time of purchase and the remaining half is met by Yellow Pigeon Bespoke Furniture)

    Conditions of return

    Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

    Shipping:

    We aim to provide a personal service as far as possible and we are pleased to offer free delivery with this piece in person via our own 'Pigeon Post' with a fully blanketed service to 100 mile radius of SY7 8QG postcode. We offer delivery to ground floor only and we shall be in touch directly after your purchase to arrange a suitable delivery date. If you are located outside of our 100 mile radius, we would be delighted to arrange delivery via a third party furniture courier with a fully blanketed service to Mainland UK for a small surcharge.   To avoid disappointment please contact me with your post code for an indicative quote and timeframe if you are located outside of this radius.
