This is a stunning 1950's two drawer chest of drawers / dressing table with mirror by Astons of Wrexham. It has a nice simple style, with a few subtle flourishes such as the carved details on the base, legs and upstand, showing a Scandinavian influence. The drawers are fitted with the stunning original brass drawer pull handles which I have cleaned and lovingly polished by hand (not painted over or spray painted!). The chest has been carefully restored, prepared and beautifully hand painted in Farrow & Ball's dark and dramatic 'Off Black' Modern Eggshell and on this piece looks stunning. Off Black is a soft black and is more flattering to adjacent colours because it is milder in tone than strong blacks and has none of the underlying cool blue of Railings or Black Blue. Inside I have lined the drawers in a beautiful ebony damask paper. The chest of drawers would be a fabulous addition for any contemporary bedroom.Condition:This piece is in excellent condition and there is no damage to note apart from the customary minor knocks, dents and cracks which are to be expected with antique and vintage pieces.  Of course the mirror, also being vintage and original isn't flawless but has a lovely light patina in places. I don't just slap on a coat of chalk paint on my pieces and call them upcycled - each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy restoration and preparation process before being stripped, cleaned, woodworm treated if required, and primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 3/4 coats to ensure a high quality finish.

    I aim to provide a personal service as far as possible and I am pleased to offer free delivery with this piece in person via our own 'Pigeon Post' with a fully blanketed service to 100 mile radius of SY7 8QG postcode. I offer delivery to ground floor only and I shall be in touch directly after your purchase to arrange a suitable delivery date. If you are located outside of my 100 mile radius, I would be delighted to arrange delivery via our furniture courier with a fully blanketed service within Mainland UK for a small surcharge. To avoid disappointment please contact me with your post code for an indicative quote and timeframe if you are located outside of this radius.  Third party courier service is for a one man service to ground floor and assistance is required with unloading.
