An elegant lockable bureau / writing desk on long carved cabriole legs with two drawers together with storage compartments inside the desk along with a further small drawer. This elegant desk is well proportioned and is in very good order with the original handles which I have cleaned and polished by hand. It has been carefully sanded and restored and has been hand painted externally in Farrow & Ball's romantic and muted 'Sulking Room Pink' Modern Eggshell and on this piece looks stunning. Sulking Room Pink is a muted rose pink with a powdery feel which makes it incredibly soft and easy to use with complementary tones. Inside I have lined the drawers with a beautiful ebony damask paper. A fabulous addition to a hallway, home office, landing or indeed any contemporary room.
 
Condition:
 
This piece is in excellent condition with no damage to note apart from the original leather slopes shows signs of minor wear and tear from previous use and there are minor nicks and dents to the woodwork which are to be expected with vintage and antique pieces and adds to their character. I don't just slap on a coat of chalk or mineral paint on my pieces and call them upcycled - each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy process of restoration and preparation before being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, restored, woodworm treated if there is any sign of historic woodworm, primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 4 coats to ensure a high quality finish.

    Request a cancellation within: 2 days of purchase.  Cancellations are subject to a £25 charge to cover card merchant services and admin fees.

    Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

    I aim to provide a personal service as far as possible and I am pleased to offer free delivery with this piece in person via our own 'Pigeon Post' with a fully blanketed service to 100 mile radius of SY7 8QG postcode.  I offer delivery to ground floor / doorstep depending upon your COVID Tier and I shall be in touch directly after your purchase to arrange a suitable delivery date. If you are located outside of my 100 mile radius, I would be delighted to arrange delivery via a third party furniture courier with a fully blanketed service to Mainland UK for a small surcharge.  To avoid disappointment please contact me with your post code for an indicative quote and timeframe if you are located outside of this radius.
