Vintage Upcycled Chest of Drawers in Farrow and Ball Sulking Room Pink

Description:

A stunning 1930's well made three drawer chest of drawers complete with the original tilting mirror. The drawers are fitted with the fabulous original brass drawer pull handles which I have cleaned and lovingly polished (not replaced or painted over!), and the chest has been carefully restored, prepared and beautifully hand painted in Farrow & Ball's romantic and muted 'Sulking Room Pink' Modern Eggshell and on this piece looks stunning. Sulking Room Pink is a muted rose pink with a powdery feel which makes it incredibly soft and easy to use with complementary tones. Inside I have lined the drawers with a beautiful complementary ebony damask paper. The chest of drawers would be a fabulous addition for any contemporary boudoir.

Condition:

This piece is in excellent condition and there is no major damage to note apart from the customary minor knocks, dents and cracks which are to be expected with antique and vintage pieces.  The mirror is showing a couple of small signs of foxing, which is to be expected with a piece of this age - for example please see final photo. I'm not a 'furniture flipper'; I don't churn out masses of quickly refinished items and I don't just slap on a coat of chalk or mineral paint on my pieces and call them upcycled - I spend huge amounts of time and care on each piece. Each undergoes a lengthy restoration and preparation process before being stripped, cleaned, woodworm treated if required, and primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 4 coats to ensure a high quality finish. My pieces aren't distressed or shabby chic; they will naturally distress over time with general wear and tear, like all furniture.

  • RETURN & REFUND POLICY

    I do accept returns under certain circumstances, however I do not accept returns if you decide on receipt of your item that the size isn't right or doesn't suit your space, or if the colour isn't as you expected. To avoid disappointment please double check the dimensions and the colour / finish before making your purchase and please do get in touch should you require any further information or clarity.

    Cancellations are subject to a cancellation charge of £50 to cover card merchant services and admin fees. If a courier has been booked and paid for the full cost of delivery charge will be paid by the customer (courier charges are 50% subsidised by Yellow Pigeon Bespoke Furniture):

    Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

    Conditions of return

    Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs and arranging courier. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

  • SHIPPING INFO

    I aim to provide a personal service as far as possible and I am pleased to offer free delivery with this piece in person via our own 'Pigeon Post' with a fully bubble wrapped and blanketed service to 100 mile radius of SY7 8QG postcode.  Delivery is to ground floor and I shall be in touch directly after your purchase to arrange a suitable delivery date. If you are located outside of my 100 mile radius, I would be delighted to arrange delivery via a third party furniture courier with a fully bubble wrapped and blanketed service within Mainland UK for a small surcharge. To avoid disappointment please contact me with your post code for an indicative quote and timeframe if you are located outside of this radius.  Third party courier service is for a one man service to ground floor and assistance is required with unloading.  Alternatively I live in Shropshire and collection can be arranged if preferred.
