Vintage Upcycled Georgian Style Serpentine Fronted Sideboard by Bevan Funnell
Description:
A beautiful vintage mahogany Georgian style serpentine fronted sideboard by Bevan Funnell with two drawers including cutlery drawer flanked by two cupboards, one with a slide out shelf for bottles and glasses. It has the original brass handles which I have cleaned and polished by hand (not painted over or spray painted!). Externally it has been carefully prepared and lovingly painted in Farrow and Ball's dark and dramatic 'Down Pipe' Modern Eggshell and I have relined the cutlery drawer with a sumptous ash grey velvet. Down Pipe is a dark lead grey, with definite blue undertones to it which deepen the complexity of the finish. Originally inspired by the colour used to paint downpipes and guttering, it has been embraced for use inside the home with fanatical zeal! A stunning focal point in a dark, dramatic dining room or drawing room.
Condition:
The sideboard is in very good condition for its vintage age and there is no major damage to note apart from the customary minor knocks, dents and cracks which are to be expected with antique and vintage pieces. Unfortunately the keys to the cupboards have been lost and are no longer lockable. I'm not a 'furniture flipper'; I don't churn out masses of pieces of painted furniture; I spend huge amounts of time and care on each piece and I don't just slap on a coat of chalk or mineral paint and call it upcycled. Each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy process of preparation, and restoration being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, woodworm treated if there are any signs of historic woodworm, and primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 4 coats to ensure a high quality finish. I don't distress my pieces, they will naturally distress over time with general wear and tear, like all furniture.

I do accept returns under certain circumstances, however I do not accept returns if you decide on receipt of your item that the size isn't right or doesn't suit your space, or if the colour isn't as you expected. To avoid disappointment please double check the dimensions and the colour / finish before making your purchase and please do get in touch should you require any further information or clarity.
Cancellations are subject to a cancellation charge of £50 to cover card merchant services and admin fees. If a courier has been booked and paid for the full cost of delivery charge will be paid by the customer (courier charges are 50% subsidised by Yellow Pigeon Bespoke Furniture):

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

I aim to provide a personal service as far as possible and I am pleased to offer free delivery with this piece in person via our own 'Pigeon Post' with a fully bubble wrapped and blanketed service to 100 mile radius of SY7 8QG postcode. I offer delivery to ground floor and I shall be in touch directly after your purchase to arrange a suitable delivery date. If you are located outside of my 100 mile radius, I would be delighted to arrange delivery within Mainland UK via a third party courier for a small surcharge. To avoid disappointment please contact me with your post code for an indicative quote and timeframe. Alternatively I live in Shropshire and collection can be arranged if preferred.
