This beautiful chair has been in my client's family for generations but had been stored unloved for many years in a damp and dusty garage. It had developed woodworm and the arms had come away from its back, so we stripped it to the bare frame and gave it a complete woodworm treatment and repaired the arms. My client wanted it to have a complete makeover by having it finished in Farrow & Ball's Off Black Estate Eggshell and reupholstered in her own choice of fabric, so we sanded, primed and painted the frame with three to four coats of eggshell and reupholstered the chair using traditional upholstery techniques. I'm sure you will agree with us it has been given a completely new lease of life! It now takes pride of place in my client's newly decorated drawing room! If you have a similar piece you would like to give a makeover to, please get in touch!
